I'm planning to make some updates in the near future, one of which is to allow self-recovery of passwords. This requires that the site has an email address that will get to you.

This is important because one thing that needs to be updated is how passwords are stored to bring it more in line with current standards. This will likely break your existing password and require a password recovery (yes you could use the same one again if you want).

Public Service Announcement

Do not use the same password on every site. I can't stress this enough.

Use a password manager to generate and store a unique password for each site. Chrome and Firefox have this builtin but you can use Bitwarden or other addons if you prefer.

Why? Because you just need to create an account on one unscrupulous (or incompetent) site and then they will try every social media outlet and forum with your email/username/password to see if they can get in and use it for their own purposes. This is a major way intentionally fake news gets spread.

Do I Insert the NEW email in the box seen with NEW password ?

All you need to do is put an email address that would reach you in the email field and click save.

You don't need to change password
