I can’t watch every player every game so feel free to highlight your picks.

That’s the purpose of this thread to look at players for the 5 years plan.

I feel if they’re over 28 years old and haven’t been kicking down the door…well let’s focus on the younger generation.

BTW Chris Gayle’s test debut was at the age of 20. Fun fact.

Raskil 2023-02-02 16:20:45

Good returns so far on the batting front.

doosra 2023-02-02 16:24:04

Look out for Shemar Joseph from Tucber Park, New Amsterdam, Guyana smile

Raskil 2023-02-02 16:30:50

That BHS ground producing some talent

How old is he?

doosra 2023-02-02 16:32:58

In reply to Raskil

he is 22 i think

the Tucber Park club that Mr. Moore set up post-Berbice. Shepherd et al. I think they are based at BHS but not entirely sure

cumberland 2023-02-02 16:40:48

In reply to doosra

That's correct! Carl's juniors have become grown men. Proving nothing beats intensive personal coaching. He must be proud to see these guys come through.

Good returns so far on the batting front.

Has to be tempered with the fact the bowling has been poor. Though you can only bat what is bowled to you!

Raskil 2023-02-02 17:32:30

In reply to cumberland

However the wicket wasn’t a batting paradise…
All taken into consideration

doosra 2023-02-02 21:38:56

Joseph bowled with some pace this afternoon...had Brooks and Moseley fending, fishing and hopping to a few

robbo 2023-02-02 21:43:12

In reply to doosra

Yes… the only other time that I saw him he was innocuous military medium pace in a streamed local 50 over game.

He looked a lot more threatening today….skiddy pace of the pitch.

tc1 2023-02-02 21:50:48

In reply to doosra

wow the muddies got fast bowlers.

lol lol

doosra 2023-02-02 21:56:13

doosra 2023-02-02 21:56:54

In reply to robbo

indeed, i didn't think much then but it was the everest dead track...he is skiddy

robbo 2023-02-02 21:58:31

In reply to doosra

Yeah quite like the look of him actually

I think I’m right in saying that he was one of the young bowlers that curtly Ambrose worked with fairly recently.

Raskil 2023-02-02 22:05:29

In reply to robbo

That’s why he was bowling in the handkerchief, I felt he needed to pull his length back slightly.

doosra 2023-02-02 22:13:16

In reply to robbo

i am not sure he worked with sir curtly but dr dukes might confirm

Raskil 2023-02-04 21:55:21

K Sinclair

FanAttick 2023-02-04 22:06:06

In reply to Raskil

28 is not a talent pool..It’s an active adult community

The cutoff age for talent spotting should be 26

Raskil 2023-02-04 22:11:43

In reply to FanAttick

I kept it U28, that’s a solid 7 years of internal cricket given the advances in sports therapy.
U26 is unfair

doosra 2023-02-10 18:13:01

In reply to doosra

Look out for Shemar Joseph from Tucber Park, New Amsterdam, Guyana smile

Kay 2023-02-10 18:37:31

How old is Shemar?

PalsofMine 2023-02-10 19:04:47

Carty from LI seems to be coming good today and Hinds from Trinidad is a very underrated regional allrounder who perhaps has now merited consideration for A team selection.

Raskil 2023-02-10 19:40:40

In reply to PalsofMine

Updated however Hinds didn’t make the U28

Chrissy 2023-02-10 19:53:51

I like Carty

PalsofMine 2023-02-10 19:57:39

In reply to Chrissy

i was surprised at his low FC average when it was posted a couple weeks ago. He looks so organised at the crease that I have pegged him as our potential test No. 3 batsman when Reifer retires
big grin big grin
