From yesterday Wwd Island at one point could've been in a position where they should not have to ba today.

While batting with Melius captain one got the impression that captain Athanze was not happy for his partner and wasn't egging him on. In fact he starved him of strike which could have contributed to him not getting his double ton.

At the point he should have done all to assist Melius to the landmark there after him and Melius could have been looking to beat ball. In fact Melius plays this type of cricket very well.

It was only when Ambris came to the wicket they upped the scoring. Should have started earlier give wickets in hand thus giving themselves more time all day today to bowl at TnY.

In reply to InHindsight I despise negative cricket. Zero urgency to win the match. Needed to declare on 300 and insert TNT first thing the next day.I will be playing close attention to Leewards vs Jamaica tomorrow where Leewards have a 224 run lead and if they could bat another hour they should get close to 300 especially with Cornwall at the crease 56 off 73 with Walsh jr, and Archibald still to come.

The decision to bat on the fourth day cud not have been a decision made by the captain only.

The Windwards management team felt they had to play it safe and wasted at least 10 overs in the quest to get a lead of 350, having led by 325 overnight

In reply to Maispwi It was a poor decision by Windwards Management that cost Windwards crucial points in a short tournament. Add to that, the fans will never be attracted to that brand of negative cricket.
