Come on now, you know that is not a fair assessment.

Chanderpaul is off to a great start against a tough team, Australia.

Who else had an average of 40.00 against them???

Adrian Barath from Trinidad, was destined for great things since the age of 11 when he impressed Brian Lara during a net session. Soon his undoubted talent gave way to solid performances that saw him become one of the best young batsmen in the country. He made his first class debut in 2007 and made an impressive hundred against the touring England side. The hundred came against a strong attack that comprised of Anderson, Harmison and Sidebottom.

Having got a sound technique, he is quite strong square of the wicket and thrives on anything loose. He prefers the ball coming onto the bat and is generally very good against the spinners. Though he is not tall, he doesn't let that affect him and many have predicted a long and distinguished career ahead of him.

He was picked for the home series against Bangladesh but didn't play. His test debut came against Australia at the pacy Gabba where he made a stroke-filled 104 - becoming the youngest West Indian to make a test ton at the age of 19 years. That knock showed his whole range of strokes as he took the attack to the opposition

It was a good start and he no doubt will continue and have a good career but he will realize now that it will not come easy as the start cos the other teams know him now and will work him out.

He did well against OZ - truth is that like all of the others his first class stats are unimpressive. That said I give these players a run and based on his series against OZ and Zim he stays around for now
