How can you do the following;
- drop The Angel after 1st test
- have Reifer batting at 3
- keep playing Chase with Motie back in the team
- using Kyle as a #6 batter he is a very useful bowler and shouldnt bat above #7
So I blame the coach, batting coach, bowling coach and mentor
These arent selections issue for Desmond Haynes, they had the best available squad

Team mgmt to be blame this time.
The mentor have a say in selection and not the captain on tour? Way beater man dey?
In reply to Barry
The mentor can only use what is presented to him

Is Angel fit enough to play back to back tests?

-tactics and possibly fitness related.
-no idea.
-no idea. Chase needs to work on his technique for an extended period of time.
-Mayers should be doing better with the bat.

Yes Helen - management of the squad is responsible for the fact that not one batsman has a world class regional average or a test average of 40 let alone fifty as was common when we were kings.
Then tell me about the bowlers.
We suck from the base but whine away and do nothing.
Replace dem with the next eat a food posse.
How many of these guys even turnout for the odd club match when at home? Dem think only coaching and training can keep them sharp? Club cricket is weak but better dan nutt'n. Plus club n FC players will always try to lift their game when a test player is either a teammate or opponent
we need to ask, why do players with options turn down CWI?
In reply to camos
For the same reason nurses, doctors, teachers, scientists, engineers, etc migrate - better options, less confusion and hassle and fewer authoritarians telling dem how to run their lives - oh and way more money.
I remember one regional limited overs tournament where a coach was vexed that a player's wife was with him. Now dat takes some nerve.

Has CWI got any mandatory requirements in place for all contracted players to continue to work on their game when they are not on domestic/international duty?
In reply to WICFan
Suppose they have mandatory clauses in contracts and then they pay players very late - takes two hands to clap.
One of our problems is the massive salaries the administrators pay themselves and di 'pompasetting per diem'.
Here in the Yard the lottery was started to fund sports - now dem funding all kind a sinting wid di money.
Governments in the region want the benefits without the investments. The cricket world cup was sixteen years ago.
Tourism interests want full hotels without investing in the sport. They don't care if we lose if it brings tourists from teams that beat us.

Good analyses, Chrissy
A bit holistic too

No, Hilaire tried to insert it but his intent was to block players from IPL. It resulred in Gayle, Bravo n Pollard lawyering up, refusing contracts and starting to shun WI duties for franchise having previously nevere missed a single game . Hardball tactics failed.Regarding compensation I can never forget "fielder of the tournament award" being $200 and Mr. Hilaire's bonus being $200,000!

Yuh mean we een need no no stars
Well now we have 20sinting and 30sinting non-stars with patience fi low ranking teams, but other teamss fast bowlers and spinners een have no patience fi our mediocre patients,
Tired of di stupidness at all levels.
