Pattern clear for all to see
Recycles Brooks. Bait and switch ting
Warrican
Adams
Chase
Reifer at 3
McCoy gets injured and yuh replace him with Chase????
Yuh coulda at least take young Simmons and make a case for that.
What case it have for Chase other than a welfare case?
And then we does wonder why some players prefer to play elsewhere.

Desmond Haynes proves to be the most insular
In reply to imusic
you got that... we cuss other selectors for a one or two picks or omissions but this is shameless
In reply to imusic
Calm down.
Let us look at it logically
1.Obed McCoy is a fast bowler noted for bowling at the "death" in T 20 matches
2.Obed McCoy as a main bowler nearly ALWAYS bowls his full complement of FOUR OVERS
3.We are playing in SOUTH AFRICA where the wickets have significant bounce and are arguably the fastest wickets in the world.
Now with these 3 facts in mind, how logical is it to replace McCoy with Chase?
In reply to imusic
Last idiocy before being sacked!! Dessie thanks for making cricket world laugh
Chase supposed to be chased out many moons ago! Remember the T20 World Cup!!! HOLY!!! DESSIE PAN TAP!!!!
BTW
.Im wrong to blame Desmond Haynes for foisting Reifer on the WI team to bat at 3
That was ICMs doing
Dessie jes perpetuating the crime.
In reply to imusic
Foisting Reifer to bat at 3...infact one of the 10 agenda of Skerritt...for betterment of West Indies cricket...why blame Dessie or ICM
I am truly shocked!!
Keemo and ALL other fastbowling GT allrounders (Rutherford)
I'm sure there are at least 5 other better picks in the region
This is quite embarrassing for the region and that is even if
Chase takes 4fer and makes 50.

Just saw your post for the first time, never knew Mccoy was injured.
Who are the players selected for the Whiteball leg, and the player you would had selected?
It seem strange that you would swap Mccoy for Chase, but I never played the game at a level of any of the selectors.
In reply to openning
Seems that should no longer be a prerequisite, as all to date have been piss poor!
In reply to doosra
Alyuh boys in the Fantasy League here are far more equipped to select international teams that the quack doctor and farts

In reply to natty_forever
In all honesty, the team replacement would have come from someone already in South Africa.
Like for life would had been my choice, back I never played the game at the highest level.

In reply to natty_forever
Sessions sold out since de last T20 world cup in OZ

In reply to Narper
You know me better than that, I maybe one of the only posts that go after his home nation, and it is done with regularity.
But we all have short memory, I can be excuse, you know why.
Roach selection to the ODI squad was out of left field, so are many others.
It is like gambling.
In reply to openning
Those who are quick to accuse others of being insular are usually more insular.....and some here think they can shut up people by just calling dem insular.
I have no qualms in pushing my countrymen as long as they are qualified .
But you would never see me pushing a mediocre muddie over others who are more qualified
In reply to Dukes
My Desr Sir what you have described is nary a withdrawal symptom but rather the beginning of a lil process called aging
In reply to imusic
Dessie makes me shame to be a Bajan ...
In reply to imusic
I start agreeing with you Music so the end of WI cricket must be here.

In reply to Wally-1
yea he was telling you tillion is isht a long time now...you finally coming rung
In reply to doosra
Do you know the reason why Ronnie step down from being a selector?
Was it because Dessie wanting Bajans on the team?
In reply to openning
The story is that R disagreed with D over C
In reply to Wally-1
In the spirit of the rumshop I suspect the Imusic tendered this thread. I'd have a very hard time believing Des Haynes is truly insular. Certainly not what I know of him. The fact of the matter is for all the talk of Bajan contribution to West Indian cricket the argument can and has been made that Barbados is NOW (over the last 4-5 years) the least contributing member country to the onfield success of West Indian cricket. It is a stinging rebuke and for guys like Desmond it does not go down well. It shouldn't!
More tellingly, in the format of the sport that the money is to be made Bajan cricketers aren't in it in the kind of numbers that would have been made folks happy, apart from Jason, Kyle in IPL and a few others in the lesser leagues. So something and someone has got to look out for those left behind, so to speak, who only have a five match first class season to earn from and whatever their regional contracts provide.
As CoS, you look around the Caribbean and realize that most cricketers are feeling the pinch and given the mediocrity all around you want to select players, you want to help but charity begins at home and that's the reality.
In reply to imusic Is that a rant imusic? Speak your mind my brother
Desmond Bajan First Haynes!
Believe it or not Motie would probably be a better pick, he has already demonstrated that he out bowl and out bat Chase against South Africa. Although Chase was given more over to bowl than Motie. Chase series batting average against SA is only 12.50 and has no wickets for his efforts. Another Bajan waste of space. However, what happen to Allen, Sheppard, Smith, Hayden Walsh etc.?
In reply to Slipfeeler
Smith is there I think?
