Regulation in India is piss poor: Corruption, low standards, lack of public oversight. In the flip side, Indian meds are much cheaper allowing many nations to provide care for their people.

In the USA, expect major backlash against foreign meds- this blindness problem along with the the past diabetes drug that was found to be weakened and the substandard cancer drugs from India, will provide plenty for big pharma to lobby
