Jets are screwed. Packers are going to demand a haul in order to land his rights and there's little the Jets can do unless they want complete egg on their face. I suppose they can sign Matt Ryan for a year, heh.
In reply to bdaTryangle i have no idea where the Jets are football-wise, i dont think Rodgers would be coming just for the money
In reply to bdaTryangle I guess there are lucrative endorsement a begging in the big Apple

The Jets were a promising team, they had the offensive rookie of teh year in Garrett Wilson, the defensive rookie of the year in Sauce Gardner.
Their defense is good. Their starting RB Breece Hall had a season-ending injury, as well as one of their starting OTs. In theory they should be in the ascendancy. Problem is their QB Zach Wilson, had a horrific year plagued by miscues on and off the field and the team probably doesn't believe in him any more. Hence the Jets looking for a QB to get them to the next level.
NY is bright lights and all, but Aaron is already near the top of the heap when it comes to endorsements, and at his age, probably doesn't need them.
Since he's still under contract with GB, the Packers are going to demand at least some of that young talent or a hefty haul of draft picks to trade the former multi-time league MVP.
The Jets already grabbed his former offensive coordinator, Nate Hackett, as well as a WR from GB in Lazard. It's really all about compensation at this point and if the Jets balk, they're stuck without a QB and Rodgers facing misery (or retirement).
The only party here that should be ecstatic is Green Bay. They get rid of a bloated contract and a drama queen.
Jets get some relevance that is all.... read that he has all sorts of demands for players to come with him....same players he could not do much with in Green Bay plus Odell....yikes!
I understand the Jets desperation....but Rodgers has as many SuperBowls as Trent Dilfer!
In reply to bdaTryangle Thanks there is some intrigue here, enough to peak my interest. Its been quite a few years that I havent had a NY sports team to root for. Use to be a Jets, Knicks, and Mets fan. a regular at MSG Knicks games . Havent been in a long time. Been to a few Nets Games, then they fall apart
Has Aaron Rogers won a super bowl?

Imagine if the Jets kept Carr waiting as option B until he signed with the Saints only to find out they could not agree on the compensation with the Packers for his services. As much as the Packers want to get rid of Rodgers they will not trade him for nothing other than a few early round picks plus some of the Jets young talented players. The Packers have all the leverage.

There was a clip on ESPN not too long ago where they asked the panellists which NY team has the best chance for success, one guy goes 'the Rangers!' and Stephen A Smith was all, what? we ain't talking hockey. So yeah I imagine people in the Big Apple are begging for success for one of their franchises. One of my very good buddies is like you - Mets, Jets and Knicks... a couple years ago he threw his lot in with Brooklyn. He's ultra-miserable now.
Priapus - my thought exactly.
The Jets don't have to give up plenty for this...what's Green Bay going to do, bring back Rogers?

I'm trying to remember if Favre held bench for a bit when the Packers decided to go with Aaron before he went to the Vikes
he brining light to the jets?
a master manipulator
I do worry for the Jets. The Bills are current kings of the East, the Allen-Diggs combo is amazing. The Dolphins want to make that surge, they just splashed on Jalen Ramsey to form a formidable DB combo. The Pats under Belichick should never be counted out. Jets fans are starved for a winner.
Edited to add: The Packers want a 1st rounder and more

The Bills may be done. The way they exited this year might be an indication that Josh Allen has been found out.
Rogers is a wierd guy and that does not bode well for him and the NY media. He better not put a foot or open his mouth b4 engaging his brain and leave his bs conspiracy theories aside.
