Every young cricketer, in fact young person, should watch and listen. Lots of life lessons here.

He mentioned vision, accountability and transparency. He said his father made him read Tolstoy at a very young age.

It crossed my mind that there was nothing Shallow about his thoughts. big grin

He mentioned the average age of the English and Australian fan is 47 years. I wonder what is the average age of the WI fan?

I think I need to view the video again.

Thank you very much my friend. That was an hour well spent listening to a very intelligent man talk about cricket and life.i agree with the suggestion that young cricketers listen to this talk.I also note that Kumar is with the Rajasthan Royals and I hope that young man from Cumberland listens to him and learns about cricket and life.

The young man from Cumberland will tell him that he has made more money than him from cricket, so what could he possibly tell him about cricket and life?

You have a very low opinion of the Cumberland chap's intelligence.

Well the young man did say as much to the great Sir Clive Lloyd.

When again did he say that to Lloyd? He'd never tell Kumar that!

When the list for retained players was being drawn up at RR, his was the 2nd after young Paddikal for pure bats. Kumar has his attention.

If this site if anything to go by, at least 67.

Not being horrible, but I'm oft reminded of the Bruce Springsteen lyric, 'Boring stories of glory days.'

A very educated and classy individual. He somewhat tarnished his image with the allegation of skulduggery by him at the WC toss in 2011.

Kumar Sangakarra! What a study in player management! Quite a reputation he has been building!
