I think most of us know that the US isn't changing its stance. 2A is equivalent to breathing to them, so in the meantime they need to come up with some alternative that will help just a little bit. Biden's assault weapons bill won't go anywhere; they will argue all day and nothing will be resolved.

In the past is was fear of the Red man. Without the gun they couldn't have annihilated, displaced, and stolen the land from the Indigenous peoples.
Now, it's fear of anyone who isn't White.
The gun is now firmly a symbol of White Supremacy in Dumbfcukingstan. It's the White man's constitutional right to own a gun and protect his property from "others". And it's why Republicans will never ever allow gun laws that restricts access to and ownership of things like the AR-15.
