I saw this. They need to sort out the anomalies, wrong pay and the 1,000 of my teaching colleagues who have NOT been paid since February.
In reply to michaelmax
teachers still have not been paid, thought that ended in March?
In reply to camos
And the May pay cheques still have anomalies.
Hence the lockdown.
I heard di Finance minister this evening. Di tone changed yuh see. Men sounding more frightened than arrogant about now.
In reply to michaelmax
Every day carry bucket go a well
you know di rest.
Do not overlook the 1 year retroactive pay which is more than the salary they got for last year..
Governor General salary $34M
In reply to Headley
Frightening indeed
In reply to camos
Nope. My JTA rep informed of that today.
In reply to Chrissy
Yep.
In reply to Chrissy
YEP. Senior teacher pay for example was agreed at a particular rate. Was NOT paid in March. Paid in April. Then people wdre told they were overpaid and all sorts of confusion. Remember ghe HoA had rates that were AGREED.
In reply to Chrissy
Politicians should be AFRAID of the people not the other way around.
In reply to michaelmax
Correct is right

i mentioned this interview 2 days ago on the karl Samuda thread. Manchester behind Knox as usual.
Audley Shaw also out. Audley is getting up there in age. i am wondering if he is going to run again in Northe East Manchester
In reply to FanAttick
Waaaaah! The vast majority of the public sector and teachers are more qualified than them. He would not give her a word. The professionals migrate because they want better pay and conditions. The entire argument is foolishness.

Check this out.
In reply to Chrissy
Indeed. As you said. Majority of teachers are trained graduates-some with Master's and PhDs.
In reply to michaelmax
Not on Facebook
In reply to Chrissy
Oh ok. It's from The Gleaner. Small group of teachers including a couple of my current work colleagues protesting across from MOF.
In reply to michaelmax
Supporting all off them
Nigel said it is a restructuring, in the cases of teachers and nurses; administrators are not struggling as much as the regular folks,it is the classroom teachers that are leaving, regular nurses the same situation.
In reply to camos
That is putting it midly. Principals are up to $8-9 million per year. They are NOT struggling.
In reply to Brerzerk
It is crazy. We will soon swap the GG for a President and continue to pay $33M.
Meanwhile senior civil servants who retired > 15 years ago are getting $40,000 per month pensions.
In reply to Headley
Its a PART-TIME job at best. The GG performs a few official functions, does certain appointments for $34 million dollars? No. Needs to be a different structure for this or if we have a ceremonial president-a per diem of sorts per chance?
