Some context, Dujon's era had the greatest bowlers in the history of the game, so his average in today's currency is arguably mid to high 40's.
Dowrich's career thus far, has arguably the weakest bowling resources in the history of test cricket- add DRS, bat technology, better pitches for batters, etc, his average converted to 1980's, 1990's currency would be about 15.

Josh has a golden opportunity to get his average in the high 30's, he has been given many advantages and privileges others have been locked out off, therefore he has no excuses and I believe he has the potential.

You have to look at averages as there are, there are too many assumptions and constraints to come up with a meaningful comparison.
Jeff Dujon was a class act if he had more opportunities to have a proper his test average would have been much higher.
Dowrich & Dujon made the test side as a batsmen before taking the gloves
Of the lot Denesh Ramdin was the best all round keeper / batsman
if you trying to compare Dowrich & Josh batting in test Josh has 1 hundred 3 50s 24 test, Doowrich 3 hundred 9 50s 35 test.

Wasnt Dowrich rated the #1 keeper/batsman in tests at some point in his career?

That is not the main point my post and I did not intend for folks to use the stats to only to compare and contrast, but to I wanted to place expectations on our wicket-keepers in perspective. Reason is we seems to have very different expectations of wicket-keepers and many a career was destroyed.
