ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – President Dr. Kishore Shallow remains unwavering in his commitment to delivering a new era of governance reform within Cricket West Indies (CWI).

After a series of ongoing consultations with key stakeholders since being elected in March, President Shallow notes that the indispensable role of governance is a key element in reinvigorating CWI.

President Shallow said: “We have produced several reports on governance over the years and the regional dialogue on this matter has also been unending. The way forward is for all stakeholders to recognize that the reform effort is fundamental to the transformation and advancement of West Indies Cricket.”

He further added: “I am resolute, that if we are to achieve the desired outcomes and realize sustainable growth in West Indies Cricket, we must act with a measure of insistence and have a sense of priority towards the reform exercise.”

As usual WE get " Flowery Words " but No Action, the stark
fact is that the Whole Administration of West Indies Cricket aka the WICB,and the various Cricket Boards in the Region MUST undergo very serious Structural changes.

This Must be the first priority. In my opinion for many years now those in the Region who Masquerade as Sports Writers have
failed Cricket in the Region. My perspective is that THEY
have become the Lapdogs of those in the governance of West
Indies Cricket in the Region.

The result of this unholy alliance, in my opinion, a major factor in the decline of the competitiveness of Our Players
In International Cricket. Those who masquerade as Sports
Journalists apparently love being the Poodles of the Worst
International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth.

Unless or until this unholy alliance between those in the
WICB and the FAUX Sports Journalists in the Region ends;
West Indies Cricket will be running very fast yet finding
itself at or near the bottom of International Cricket.

When an organization have failed like the West Indies and the people within that organization gets elected unopposed…WOW doesn’t that send up red flags.

Not one piece from a journo asking questions around the process and those involved.
