By the age of three, she would sing along to karaoke before she could even read.
And just last month, the now nine-year-old Milton, Ont., girl was singing the national anthem at the U.S. Open Tennis Championship in front of a crowd full of celebrities.Mishras first significant event, she recalls, was her performance for the Hamilton Ticats at the Tim Hortons Field in Ontario for an audience of over 25,000 when she was seven years old. After feeling energized by the crowds enthusiasm, it made me instantly realize that this was my calling, she said.
Two years later, she found herself performing for the star-studded U.S. Open one of the worlds biggest sporting events broadcast to 200 countries. Following her latest performance, the young singer received praise from celebrities including Indian actress Priyanka Chopra.
