GAW- is not the national representative team of The Republic of Guyana, that they are allowed to use the name Guyana is unfortunate. The top performing players in this team are Pakistani heritage, but this is ok, it is FRANCHISE CRICKET.
I am worried of friendly picong or banter turning violent The videos in social media showing mainly, and i WILL SAY IT, "Indo Guyanese" drunk and beating up visitors, especially those tourist from Trinidad is wrong.
I hope the authorities in Guyana get this under control. I was much surprised no GOG officials made any statement condemning this.
I do have hope however, as many ordinary Guyanese went on social media to condemn the drunken violence.
"Indo Guyanese" and alcohol is well documented and I caution the authorities that alcohol related violence could get worse, it is why I would like their "President" who, curiously was in the stadium yesterday, to call on his people to refrain from alcohol for one day.
May the better team win and and let us get back to what is important- WI cricket.

Since then social media is going crazy, lots of hate and racism about this match tomorrow.
