UK Supreme Court shut down Sunak’s plans

To deport asylum seekers

Good!

The UK's highest court has rejected the government’s plans to deport people seeking asylum to Rwanda, dealing a blow to Rishi Sunak's key policy. Five judges unanimously upheld an appeal court ruling that found there was a real risk of deported refugees having their claims in the east African country wrongly assessed or being returned to their country of origin to face persecution. Reading out the judgment, Lord Reed, the president of the supreme court, said the judges agreed unanimously with the court of appeal ruling

Unfortunately Rishi is just following what the Power brokers in the party wants.

When such doesn't work they will dump him as teh did the two before him.

Halliwell is applying for the job...with his Boris haircut...lol

In this sad world, success is defined so loosely.

Rishi hasn't given up on the idea. They are working on way around the court's ruling as I type.

In 2022 the UK made decisions on 18699 assylum seekers and granted 14211---76%.
Germany made decisions on 197540 and granted 50%---98,540.
France similar size pop to UK made decisions on 129735 and granted over 50% stay.
So the UK turns out to be the soft touch,is that why everybody wants to chance it here, only asking the more politically aware.
