I agree, but the Right and even some on Centre-Left in the Democratic Party have been afraid of having Kamala as President, or even being so close to the presidency. The Right for obvious reasons, while many aspiring ones in the Democratic Party see their chances for the top job diminished by Kamala's proximity to an old president.

Michelle has told people loud and often that she is not interested in that job, but her hands could be forced in this present situation where she has no choice but to go for it.
