i don't think its the american fans. usually in football, their behavior is impeccable. Mexican and other central american fans have a very bad reputation during the gold cup so more than likely its them. and argentina does have a history and culture of football hooliganism

Jumpy Trump said he will keep the "thugs" out (Trump, 2024)

The concern here is over security.

i disagree with it being solely a us host problem although the pitches and security were not great .this is a fifa problem which i believe only focuses on the game in europe because this type of indiscipline behaviour and poor refeering who can't seem to assert their authority is quite common in central and south america .that match between uruguay and colombia when you have fans and players fighting each other in the stands happens a lot .

Agree - the people you saw, on TV, trying to climb over the fence and walls were not the "typical Americans." It looked like "we 3rd world people who bring we bad behaviour with in the people country."

One thing the COPA has shown though, with neutural teams, the US has the ability to fill all seats in the stadia.

I went to some gold cup doubleheaders in LA early 200's and while JA vs RSA and other JA matches went smoothly the banter in the Mex vs. Guatemala game devolved into some serious and nasty stuff.
In fact when Mex wins a game its nuff noise, drunken drivers and horn honking here in the San Fran Bay Area. I doan know 'bout nuh 'We 3rd World people' that statement is BS

trinidad played mexico in the 2016 edition. mexico was leading 4-3 and we had a corner in the mexican half in the last minute of the game. and the mexican fans were just raining plastic bottles down on our corner taker. well we scored the equalizing goal off that corner but i believe USA football put some serious restrictions on bottles after that match for the rest of the tourney

but they are not 'we' please cut out that BS. Stop lumping people together. Majority of immigrants from developing countries are good citizens
going about their business, obeying the law and being decent.
