DA SILVA IS WASTED AT #7
Would you play him higher than 6?
Seems like if he stays side on a little longer, he will play straighter. Somehow he brings the bat across the body to meet the ball. High risk. Them balls on middle to middle and off..LBW or bowled.

nah, I don't think he's a big drinker

Noticed that
He brings the bat around his front leg a bit. Inform now, so no problems. Won't always get away with it for long.
Having a good outing in England so far
I like him at 7, he should probably bat 1 up, no higher
All who find fault with De Silva's technique didn't listen to BBC commentary,2 said that he had the best technique to play in the English conditions, they even said he looks the part of a batsman,a solid one.

Of course, da Silva is an allrounder. When he's keeping wicket, it's hard to expect him to bat higher than six. He needs time to recover.
I believe that's the main reason why Sanga gave up the gloves, since he was batting at four. It was too exhausting doing both keeping and batting in the top four.

you know maybe da silva could consider giving up the gloves and playing as a pure batsman

If he concentrate on batting just a bit more than bowling he could be our number one or 2 best bat.

Didn't he used to open batting for T&T ???
In reply to LBW375
he opened in the super 50 last year if i recall.
Ideally he is a no.7 batsman. We just need to find 6 batsmen in front of him

Exactly. This Moo Moo living up to his name Jumpstart. Put him in the top order he will average less than 20! Must admit i like his feistiness.
