GUYANA CRICKET BD more DOTISH THAN BASSARATH

I did not believe anyone person or organization could have been more low than Bassarath.

Get this, they are an inherent and equal part of the CWI. They now sue CWI- so suing themselves, claimed the appointment/selection of Bassrath was not transparent etc etc. They got a jokey Guyanese court and judge to preside, he promptly rules in GCB favor. A qualified judge would have pulled a Judge Judy on dem and chase their arwse out of the court.

CWI decided against appealing, instead they threw the ball at the GCB and called another election. Turned out GCB did not nominate a candidate, so even if one vote was given to Bassarath, he would have still won.

Folks, they are all dotish-duncy dunderheads and killing our cricket, but some seems to be more duncy- dotish-dunderheads than others.

This is how Vaneisa Baksh puts it

While I am on the subject of cricket, it is bizarre that the mess at Cricket West Indies (CWI) regarding the validity of vice-president Azim Bassarath’s position has come to the juncture it has. With the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) issuing a legal challenge, and CWI first opting to appeal the ruling, then deciding they would hold an election in September, it turns out that Bassarath is the only nominee for the post. Didn’t the GCB think to offer a candidate? The whole thing is such an absurdity; it suggests that the pronouncements about keeping with “the highest standards of democratic principles and transparency” are nothing more than fluff.

so is Baksh suggesting there is no value in the court case ?

and why is Baksh making the assumption that the GCB wanted the position that is why they took it to court

is Baksh for real?

too many binary thinkers parade this region

And ladies and gentlemen, here again is yet another example why our cricket is in a mess, going no where but lower down. The sentimentality of many here who abuse players for looking out for themselves pay NO ATTENTION to the fact that West Indies cricket is privately owned by a group of corrup, power hungry Ole boys. Their only commitment is to maintain power and to enjoy the fruits of the sweat of the players, tax payers money via governments, millions from the ICC etc that allow them to live their exotic life style.
There is no West Indies cricket or West Indies cricket team. There is a CWI team just like the CPL or IPL.

I don't understand why people think the GCB was against or did not want Bassarath as VP. The court case and decision was about process and how he was initially elected which CWI agreed with, hence a new election to have the VP properly elected.

Is it true dat votes were cast for someone who was nominated unopposed for a position?

camos 2024-08-25 15:12:12

the VP was not elected properly,6 votes for from a 12-vote pool is not a majority.
