everyone knows ganga wasn't utilized properly. Ganga had perfect technique and was one of the few men on that disastrous SA tour that didn't look intimidated by those SA bowlers. Which goes back to my point that Lara was given a second string team in 1999. There is no plausible explanation as to why ganga was not picked in the starting XIs for any test(even though he was part of the series party) and why surj raggaunath, lincoln roberts and dave joseph were there before him. I told you guys that west indies problems have very little to do with money but almost everything to do with insularity, petulance, an absence of standards and worse of them all, a fair deal of corruption as alluded to by Whispering death in the cricket conference at the POS Hyatt.
But ganga wasn't the only victim....gayle, bravo(s), sarwan, jerome taylor, fidel edwards....a generation of cricketers who came into West Indies team ready to play cricket and compete lost to the stupidity of administrators. Shamar and Jayden are the first two cricketers from the WI in the last 14 years who came into the sport ready. last guy was adrian bharath. it is not by chance that, for example, that the west indies can't chase 256 against a mediocre attack at providence(That is the reason i have not watched a single ball of this year's CPL, I followed the scores but i haven't watched anything live. boycotting). from the moment they destroyed the test careers of gayle sarwan and bravo, it was on the cards. there is no one that can convince me that gayle, sarwan both bravos, tiger and jerome taylor would not have made the basis of a very, very good team and the results were showing that i was right
