I feel Tahir captaincy would have won those 2 matches that guyana lost against royals and knight riders.
Tahir is best captain.
I feel he should have bowled out Motie today thought.
Motie bowled 2 overs for 8 runs and take 1 vital wicket of fletcher.

TAHIR is back as captain and GAW winning again.

Bitter sweet for I. Glad he gave me FL points, hope they would lose the game.

It's amazing how Tahir getting credit for beating the worse team in the competition.
A team the won 2 out of 17 games over the last 2 seasons.
Let's review.
He bowled Mootie for only 2 overs.
Hope get cuss for that.
He brought on Joseph very late.
Hope get cuss for that.
Let's compare.
Hope go beat by the best team in the last over.
Hope got beat in Bim when the batsmen failed.
Hope had weaker tesms because of injuries.
Tahir won with a full strength team.
Hope lost away.
Tahis won home with very large stand support.
All I am saying is, ' Nuances bro'.
I say that Tahir does not deserve any credit.

The difference between the 2 was dropped catch in a low scoring game and pope john Paul last over.
Bai, dat ole man is a badjohn! His celebration is just hilarious.

Jeremy got who he want.
Let him find another scapegoat.
…
Hope’s fault
In reply to Jeremy
Bring back Hope??
This had got to be some of the worst management decisions in any competition.
How did they leave out Shamar?
Solutions:-
Get rid of Tahir.
Tahir thanks for your service, but time to retire.
Relax ya 45 years old ass at home.

It’s the camera man’s fault for not showing the crowd in the grass banks

Run Tahir, run
Keeping Shephard and Pretorius for the last couple overs is crazy
In reply to ray
and not having the real pace option in Joseph
they were not sharp this year with their moves
perhaps the draft next year will help sort out a few things that might not had they won
but i bet they take the title ahead of headaches in a draft lol
In reply to doosra
Even my wife who only started watching cricket was cussing them
In reply to ray
yea some things didn't seem to make sense even to the very lay fan
In reply to ray
Is it time for them to move on from Tahir?
He had a good bowling tournament but he is at the point of diminishing returns
maybe hire him as spin bowling advisor or something
In reply to doosra
GAW ownership is funny...I think it's time to move on, but God knows what they think...sometimes I wonder who exactly running Warriors...
Being it's the last time in Guyana for now (2025), they may bring him back for last hurrah...them people really like him, but an advisor position is good. Hope is a good replacement, but Jeremy is not fond of him...heard he wants some guy name Seelall who play curry goat in NY...hittiing lots ah sixes at Prospect Park
In reply to ray
If pressy seh Immy gotta come back, that is it....remember the gov sponsoring a lot of things right
In reply to doosra
I believe so
Same with Azam
In reply to ray
the draft might make it a challenge to keep all those players
how many can they retain and how many can they retain the right to match?
we shall see

A shake-up benefits everyone except say SLKings…
In reply to Halliwell
Both Faf and JC are showing signs of wear and tear so they may well have to look beyond...same for Wiese
In reply to Jeremy
Tahir is best captain.
They'd run him out of Providence for not 'Playing Shamar' and ultimately losing the Finals...
In reply to Cricket_101
We know Tahir does love to run
In reply to Prako
He'd run to CJA
I know that this is Franchise cricket, but time for some local captains.
Barbados, no issue
TnT, no issue
STNP, no issue
Kings , Get rid of Faf and install a local boy, even Chase and Aljo.
Guyana, Time fa Hope and Hetmyer
Falcons, get rid of Greene, Brandon king is de man.
Imagine Tahir and Green as captains. Nonsense.
The problem is hardly Tahir. As long as Tahir is fit and enthusiastic he stays. GAWs management is the fundamental problem. Given the heavy involvement of the political administration who are convinced they know how the cricket should be run, that not changing soon. Too much money (state and otherwise ) is involved.
More to the point GAW has not invested in a Guyanese opening batsman ever. GAWs team selection is therefore intrinsically flawed. T20 cricket revolves around the top 3/4 batters and what they do in the power play, especially the top 2. Lacking a home grown OB, they have had to fiddle around with whoever there is in the team to open with an overseas bat when they can only play 4 overseas players.
One of the prime reasons SLK had the season they had was because of Charles. Faf will be Faf (405). In tandem with Johno who got over 450 runs SLK got near max production at the top throughout the comp.
Come next year I'm still not convinced they will fix that.
In reply to cumberland
well to be fair they did in Hemraj...he had a fairly long run
but i hear you on the heavy involvement of the political administration
In reply to cumberland
You realize that this is franchise cricket.
De kock was Royal high scoring opener (Saffie)
Faf was Kings second highest (opener) 47 runs behind Charles
Warriors high scoring opener (Ayub) was unavailable.
No need to invest inn locals.
territory-base franchises do need that local core of players to build up the identity-driven energy they thrive on
Hmmmmmm
