most of this talent is interested in white ball cricket, and hopping from one league to another.

We might not have to go as far as getting rid of the organization, we just need to change the name back to WICB(C). This Big IDIOT named CWI, like everything associated with him, is not working out.

Gayle, sarwan, jerome taylor, rampaul, both bravos had interest in test cricket. their careers in the format were ended, not that they ended them. the only players in wi history who have said or indicated outright that test cricket wasn't an option for them was russell, who said his knees could not take the 5 day grind and pooran, who does not seem to have an interest in 5 day cricket

Not CWI but the system......make CWI answerable, transparent and accountable.....Chris Gayle to my mind should be in the management of red ball cricket....Gayle played all three formats with success....

The pitches needs immediate overhauling....make fast pitches...

There is no doubt, we have talents in abundance.....

https://guyanacricketboard.com/justin-langer-in-awe-of-wi-fast-bowling-talent/

There is so much fast-bowling talent here,” Langer said. “You’ve got big, tall, beautiful athletes, and they run in and bowl fast and they keep bowling all day, but I don’t understand why they play on such dead, low, lifeless wickets. It doesn’t make any sense to us.

that was in 2016. we are in 2024 and there are even better fast bowlers. shamar and seales were world class out the blocks. isai thorne is coming along as well. batting is the issue. not being able to chase 256 after throttling sa twice with the ball was disheartening

Be it 2016 or 2024 or in future.....West Indies possess talent.......batting would improve drastically, if CWI bring back Bravo and Hety back into red ball... approach Pooran in realistic manner...

Braithwaite
Louis
Bravo
Athanaze
Hodge
Hety
Pooran
Hope

West Indies are not crap in T20 cricket. We were really close to making the semis.

Now in the other formats we are not full of talent.

The only way is to go it alone. The time is right. Olympics dictates where we go from here.

We were fortunate to beat an undercooked NZ and the Afghanistan game didn’t matter, and as we saw later in the tourney, outside of the top two, their batting was rubbish. We lost to the only very good teams we face, England, the defending champs who were rubbish throughout the tournament and SA, the finalists. We only beat associates after that homes

Board and players know about their calender well in advance....just chalk out few red ball series in between white ball commitment....

All may say....Sri Lanka has strong school cricket or club or infrastructure et al.....these things exist for more than 2 decades....Sri Lanka was pathetic in recent times...red as well as white ball....their rise...

1.Jayasurya
2.Methews and few seniors recall
3. New talents... recognised and proper nurturing..
