Azari Bowling Consistently Just Short Of A

Raggs 2024-10-20 15:09:15

Length is it because of his bowling action?

For how long?

Raggs 2024-10-20 16:36:11

He keeps plugging that ball at a spot where the batter has time to rock back on the backfoot and pick a shot anywhere through the off field for 4. Why?

TanteMerle 2024-10-20 17:24:03

Cause he is an idiot.

Sorry to say.

Anybody who was watching this game today would not be saying this.

Question?

Did you watch the game?

Raggs 2024-10-20 20:14:22

I watched the game and he pitched short of a length as a stock ball throughout his spell. He maintains that length most of the time just outside the off stump. In all his games he consistently bowls there.

Why dis obsession wid AlJo?

The man bowled 6 overs for 39 runs and got hit for 20 runs in boundaries (5 fours) while bowling 17 Dot balls and taking 2 wickets with a supposedly wet ball.

De only bowler who had better returns was Motie.

In reply to RaggsIn his first spell he was consistently at a fullish length as his first wicket was from that. The second spell he reverted to a more defensive back of a length. You were obviously watching a different game to the one I watched:

3.6

Alzarri Joseph to Madushka, no run
Length ball hurries Madushka, who misses his pull and takes a blow to the body

Carty goes off the field, with Shamar Joseph on as the sub

Alzarri Joseph to Samarawickrama, 3 runs
Gets it past mid-off and gets three to start. This is full and wide, Sadeera reaches out and manages to drive it wide of Carty at mid-off, who puts in a dive but can't stop it. Cover fielder gives chase and saves a run. Carty has hurt his shoulder with that dive though

3.4

Alzarri Joseph to Samarawickrama, no run
On a length on off, fended to midwicket

Balashankar: "It's a pity that the DLS still has a lot of doubters. ICC could well have provided a lot more transparency regarding the process. The match officials basically have a matrix which providing the index for calculating the target taking into account the two resources - overs and wickets remaining - at the time of the innings interruption."

3.3

Alzarri Joseph to Samarawickrama, no run
On a length outside off, Sadeera gets across the stumps to get behind the line and blocks

It's Sadeera Samarawickrama at No. 4

3.2

Alzarri Joseph to Kusal Mendis, OUT
Top edge goes high, and Shai Hope gets under it! Mendis swipes across the line to this length ball but ends up skying it behind and to the leg side. Hope claims it running back, gets under it around the short fine leg region, and makes no mistake, giving Alzarri his second wicket of the night

Kusal Mendis c †Hope b Joseph 13 (8b 3x4 0x6 9m) SR: 162.5

3.1

Alzarri Joseph to Madushka, 1 run
Nishan Madushka gets lucky as he looks to cut a length ball outside off. He gets a thick inside edge that bounces past the stumps and past the keeper diving to his left

When you’re watching the game with the eyes of fanfare behaviour the picture on your tv can be too superficial.

BTW its Alzarri so not only you cannot see but you clearly cannot spell.
