was just coming to do this...so thanks.

Co signed.

I was about to write him off as hot headed during the CPL but he has come good and is "interviewing" with maturity.

Good series by Rutherford. Let us hope this consistency continues. He now averages 69 in 6 matches which is a solid start to his ODI career.

We need more batsmen to step up. If we could get 4/ 5 batsmen averaging 40's we will be hard to beat.

Did Rutherford do anything during CPL to be considered hot headed, and now that he's performed suddenly he's not?

You guys are filled with crap sometimes. Smh

Big up Rutherford. Cant remember when last any WI batsman in any format has had purplish patch of 3 consecutive half centuries with 2 not outs. Well done also Motie for a good series and also Evin for coming in and leading the way in this match as senior batsmen should do.

On the other hand, Seales has shown that white ball cricket is not for he. Same with Keemo so no shame in that. Both are excellent red ball bowlers and I am hoping that 2025 may well see JaySea, Shamar, Aljo and Keemo form our red ball pace attack. Aljo may well learn something from the other three.

For the record Rutherford is not a hot head. I’ve met him in NY and he is nothing but a humble soul!
Of course when you are on the field of play you tend to be in full combat mode.
Overall, the impression I got is that he’s very level headed!

Rutherford is a guy that do not tolerate nonsense... if you disrespect him he will not take it easy.

People in the Patriots did not like that... the owner thinks that he could control everything and talk to players however he wanted.

Sanasie tried it back in the day with him and it didn't work out too good then either.

It is only 6 matches let us see how he goes from here as i am sure teams are reviewing footage looking for chinks in his batting.

If there’s a criticism of Rutherford today, his running between the wickets needs improving.

More than a few times, Lewis running hard and he ambling to the other end turning two’s into one’s.

The commentators also called him out on that as well.

All’s well that ends well so the result was not affected……but that was a legit area of concern in his game.

Rutherford really had an excellent series. It's amazing to see someone who many tunnels hole into a t20 player given a chance to bat, not swing bat but bat ans he's really taken the role well so far.
I want to see him continue to do well. Motie performed really well if our top order csn be consistent we good. Searles struggled and might just be used for red ball for now.

It will be interesting to see who is called for England series.

It almost looks like some of our players only wsnt to play the Big 3, England, India Australia. Hopefully that's not the case and if so, then they can't come and go as you please no ine is bigger than the team.

yea today he was very lazy on several doubles and singles...sometimes it felt like he wanted to take the bowling himself but you do not give up all those runs

actually he has an ok List A record...just that t20 is his best format...all for the few seasons he played FC cricket he showed tendencies to bat longer

it's good to see him taking on both formats

Rutherford was running to the danger end in most cases so maybe it was part of his plan to have near zero risk in his strategy to bat long? Not saying it is right; just saying it’s a man with a plan and that plan will tweak the more he plays. Remember he is trying to become undroppable.
