..the question of when was America great according to MAGA? What is the referenced great era or time slot?

Has anybody ever answered why DJT was so adamant re preventing BO from running by peddling the birther lie?

Is there any line that will be drawn by MAGA supporters regarding reprehensible behaviour?

I mean..is there a point where you say, I don't care what the economy looks like....this behaviour just cannot be acceptable?

Cheeks there is some part of this I understand and most of it I do not. I think many factors play a role in this and it cannot be summed up into one neat package. But let us start from the top:

Trump has done many things that would have ended the career of any other politician. I have not met a single Trump supporter who denies everything; they justify it. Whether it is "oh everyone does that" or "that is the fake media" or "good for him". There is something unique about Trump and the amount of leeway he has with his supporters. The best parallel I can think of is a sports fan. You know how many Patriots fans did exactly this with deflategate and spygate? Maybe we live in a world of reality TV and Trump is a star so there is a different standard applied to him. And because we do not do this it becomes difficult for us to resolve. Also look at Michael Jordan (cheap, prick, bully, Juanita slapping him with a paternity suit so he married her) but the Jordan worshipers loved him more after Last Dance.

The worrying thing is the question of where will his supporters draw a line? If you have faith in humanity the answer is before you lose your morality.

Cheeks you know how we say we will take a bullet for the people we love? Very few people will.

You do if you are strong. And every single supporter of Trump is weak. Weak morally. Weak spiritually. And that is who evil preys on.

Trump lost the E Jean Carroll case. I understand why someone would think the sexual assault part of the case was flimsy but he said he would never have grabbed her by the P because she was ugly and then mistook a photo of her for his ex-wife. And after losing the case to repeatedly defame her and see the money you owe her skyrocket is beyond stupid.

Cheeks chalk this one up to the far side comic strip - And just to make it interesting.

The Book "Life The Movie" people equate Hollywood to real life. So after 10 yrs of info and being found guilty of business misdeeds they still see him as this "great businessman" the saw on The Apprentice. They also think every single thing on.it is real. Except of course the racism when the only time a black guy won there had to be a white guy co-winner. For them, that didn't happen because it is an inconvenient truth.

Bad analogy. Jordan fans say they yeah he is an asshole. I only watch him play basketball and he was the best at it. They leave it at that. At basketball. No one ever said he was X or Ali. Not one Jordan fan as EVER commented on him outside of basketball. Basketball.

A better analogy is making excuses for a guy who throws black teammates and coaches under the bus, while riding for an anti-Black and anti-Asian White bigot, but yet he's the second coming of Ali????? I doubt Ali would let a rabbi lead him around like that (like a puppy) to boot, but stranger things have happened.

Let us not even start about certain worshippers turning a blind eye to the flopping (cheating the game, which he claims he never did), the non-stop travelling and not being called, the team hopping to join great players who already won then making it seem like he did all by himself. “Yuh arksing answers!” Is that phrase common in the rest of the Caribbean? It means that you know the answer to a question, or that the answer to the question is obvious, but you ask it anyway.
You well know the MAGA slogan isn’t about a specific era. It’s a clever way to evoke a sense of nostalgia and patriotism, making people think muricka was "great" at some mythical point, whenever that might be.

Again you must know that Trump's fixation on Obama's birthplace was part of the effort to question Obama's legitimacy, in the face of the audacity of a black man being president of his great white merica.

There’s actually a video floating around where Obama, during his presidency, publicly mocked Trump who was in attendance. I have little doubt that this was the exact moment Trump galvanized his idea to run for the pruhzeduncy. I’ll try to find it. In any event, give thanks to Obama for unleashing Trump on the world

The echo chamber is strong in these. Trump’s cult, even those here, who boast about drinking his piss flavored kool-aid will overlook his behavior saying that its all MSM lies and persecution. And that whatever reprehensible behavior he displays is all part of a larger battle against “The Corrupt System”

see, the thing is... well one of the things... the great merican left which for some reason, many naturally conservative Caribbean misfits side with, consider Trump supporters to be cult members.

However, the left themselves can be seen jumping on the bandwagon in support of various extreme issues, such as trans athletes participating in women's sports and competing against biological women, or parents encouraging their children to dress and identify as the opposite sex, etc.

Maybe the misfits and wannabe misfits need to reexamine which side is truly the cult!
