I recall the accusations ...all unfounded on this MB when other Coaches and Captains were at the helm

...but the question lingers..

Pow is starting this as distraction from his earlier post singing Sammy's praises. Disingenuous!

Sammy 's record may be similar to test coach record, but there is no outcry or the call of 'disingenuous' by anyone.

Would that be because no one is hailing Coley as The Next Coming of Ted Lasso? Do you see how you are contributing to the disingenuous narrative?

No,
I just looking for postings that are fair. My opinion of Sammy is that he might has been an avg cricketer but has produced above average results as a captain and so far as a coach.

What above average results has Sammy achieved as a coach?

What teams and how strong were those teams have WI teams he has coached beaten?

Off the top of my head, Sammy has lost to:
This England team in this t20 series….an experimental England team at that.
Sri Lanka in ODI’s in Sri Lanka. A full strength Sri Lanka team
In T20 World Cup, lost to England and South Africa
Lost to Zimbabwe and Scotland in Champions Trophy qualification thereby failing to qualify for Champions Trophy.

So who have teams coached by him beaten?
Uganda
Papua New Guinea
Afghanistan…..all in the T20 World Cup
England in this ODI series……again….a 2nd XI England side at best.

Let’s put it this way…..

Even Andre Coley does better as WI coach than Sammy. And red ball cricket is our worst format

Who has the better record? You just posted that our red ball cricket is the worst format, and Coley is the red ball coach.

Maybe when WI plays Papua New Guinea, Uganda, Scotland, and Ireland in red ball cricket…..his record will improve.

As it is….at least Coley can claim beating a full strength Oz in Oz.

To the best of my knowledge, no WI team coached by Sammy has beaten a full strength top team in a meaningful match in any format.

and stop being lazy…..do yuh own research
