INTERESTING

Stats really don’t tell the full story. Sometimes not even close

How is that even a convo? Viv's runs extrapolated to.match the playing conditions of Hayden's era would be perhaps 20000. Man's Sr was95 when other good batsmen were 69's

Anyone who witnessed the two would never even dare to compare them.

Thats like looking to compare Charlie Davis to Viv even though they both averaged 50 plus in tests.

That and the fact they both played for West Indies is about the only thing they have in common.

An insult to Richards to put him and Matthew Hayden in the same sentence. Those kinds of comparisons are usually made by those who, obviously, did not witness, and too lazy to do research beyond the mere numbers.

stats alone dont tell the whole picture richards played against some of the best fast bowlers that the game has produced without a helmet and still averaged over 50.

Did you notice Viv's S/R ? Wow for that average and length of career to have that kind of S/R in Test cricket. The Man reinvented the game, that alone should show you that the was cut above the rest. Bazball anybody?

Anyone with eyes to see could tell he was a cut above the rest.

Hayden must be mighty flattered and embarrassed to have his name associated with Viv
