not after 3 tests. Unfair to both to come to any conclusion. You can argue that Justin has a 33.3% great test average to date and it is likely that Jason has around the same percentage or close to it over a longer test career to date.

Premature.

Good signs for Greaves though. If we can get a number 6 who can average 35 with bat and 30 with ball that would be excellent.

I have seen enough. Humility is the main thing going for him. Can't say that for the other guy.

A friend of mine shares your sentiment. I never really looked at it that way, as I thought he was just jaded from playing to much cricket.

jason out himself sir
"It was kind of a shock" for Jason Holder to be relieved from the West Indies Test captaincy, and while he admits to finding it difficult to transition from being the leader to an ordinary member of the team, he wants to focus more on his game, and be a sounding board for youngsters looking for guidance.

"Yeah, it's been difficult. I probably may not show it, but it has been difficult," Holder told ESPNcricinfo in an interview a couple of days away from the start of West Indies' first Test against South Africa in St Lucia. "For the last five-six years, I've been captaining West Indies, whether that be Test-match cricket or one-day cricket. So now being relieved of both captaincies, it has been a strange transition for me personally."

I honestly think Jason should be made captain again. As strange as it seems. Let Kraig focus on his batting.

on the basis of what? how well he speaks? lord knows it can't be tactical nous or the ability to inspire players. this is the same dude who decided to bat first at sloping lords in overcast conditions vs anderson and broad with a series tied 1-1. not to mention taking off russell and oshane who had reduced australia to 80-5 with hellfire pace to be replaced by two spinners in RTN and nurse. australia got to 280 from 80-5 after that

You seem to know everything about CWI cricket, but yet would say the captain of a cricket team is the one who decides to bat or bowl first.
I just listened to Andre Cooley after the game. Many discussions were made about playing the first test without a spinner. Was that Kraigg Brathwaite's call?
We also witnessed Brian Lara change the X1 decide upon, and added the player he wanted.

stuart law was the coach of that team. i know there is no way in hell that stuart law, a man who played 14 years of county cricket for 3 different counties and played at lords numerous times would ever have suggested batting first in overcast conditions at any ground in england, worse yet lords

You are making yourself seem biased toward team meetings.
I have been advocating for the role of cricket captain to be the same as that of other captains in team sports. This will stop the West Indians from blaming captains.

homes you know that decision was all holder's. ent allan border, one of the greatest sports captains in history looked at the WACA in february of 93 and put his men into bat, against all logic and sense against ambrose and bishop....and got caned inside 3 days? you really think mark waugh, who didn't like short pitched bowling or justin langer, who had been concussed the previous game told him that was a good idea. a pitch that almost literally had the WI pacemen salivating

International cricket is not a few guys getting together and playing; it is a team sport.
Several decisions are made long before the toss, even in local cricket in Bim, when I played for Yorkshire. your biases are showing.
You are making yourself look small; hatred kills people.

You are making yourself look small

you are sounding irrational....like you're using something not even pablo escobar sold

Several decisions are made long before the toss,

those decisions are also subject to change. when SA had 80+ runs with 8 wickets remaining in 1992, the WI decided that they'd bowl out with ambrose and walsh. When they reached the ground, they voted again to bowl out with ambrose and walsh. On the field, when richardson was getting patterson to warm up, they voted again, three times, to bowl out with ambrose and walsh. you're not making an iota of sense

Stop de foolishness.

Justin Greaves is not in the same area code AS AN ALLROUNDER as even a currently diminishing returns Jason Holder.

Just stop it.

Justin Greaves is a better batsman than Jason Holder

Although both are excellent in the field, I would still give Jason Holder the edge in that area

And Jason Holder is a far superior bowler to Justin Greaves.

we doh need bowlers....the only lineup we haven't run through this year is england and i believe that had more to do with mediocre preparation than being outclassed. the batting is very weak. WI couldn't even make 263 at providence against an SA attack that only had rabada amongst their establish stars: no jansen, no Nortje, no coetzee, and we still couldn't make it with 2 full days to get the runs. holder time past unless he can focus on his batting

I promised not to answer you related to your hatred of Bajans cricketers.
But sometimes I need to shut your stupid a*s up with stats.

Holder returned to Windies and batted at #6 in Hingland and home vesus RSA

'Stats'
All bastmen mentioned batted 10 times (5 tests)
Leader board in runs scored:-
Hodge - 303 runs
Guess who - 277 runs
Athanaze - 256 runs
Braffit - 229 runs
Louis - 210 runs
Dasilva - 193 runs

By the Way: 'Guess who' was top scorer in the RSA series for Windies

Now please go off the board idiot.

Where was holder when Da Silva ad Morie was coming in at 103-5…..oh wait, he was gone by the time we reached 106 with six wickets down. That we got 40 runs close to the 273 target is thanks to the 77 run partnership between da Silva, the much maligned da Silva and motie. JASON IS NOT A BATSMAN WE CAN RELY ON
