maybe.....even though our budgets are nearly the same in expenditure, for us, its a problem, in fact our budget is even bigger but for us its a problem. and the TT people also in guyana not as taxi drivers and car parts ppl, they're in guyana as doctors, engineers, technicians, Quantity Surveyors, land sureveyors etc

Well most of the qualified Guyanese don't really stick around in Guyana so you gotta get someone to fill the gap.

Those same Guyanese are in other countries as doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants etc.

Was in Panama last week and a Trini guy was my Uber driver... de man took me for a Trini.

I actually saw a Facebook post a few days ago that Guyana has the highest percentage (35%) of its citizens in the diaspora, more than any other nation.

President Ali didn’t say Guyana have a shortfall of 100,000 workers to service its energy industry?

Partner the population is around 790k... the working class is about 350-400k or less, can't remember the exact amount.

Based on Ali and his boys assessment the Country will need around 500-600k peeps in the working class to meet its requirments by the end of 2025 or some crap like that. Gotta fill the shortfall somehow

Why you think they busy visiting Guyanese in the diaspora and begging them to return home?

But help me out... what exactly does that have to do with the qualified Guyanese leaving the Country? Or is it you trying to say only titland producing qualified peeps?

Yes, yall are ahead in the energy sector at the moment, mainly because yall in it for donkey years. But in the last few years 1000s of Guyanese have graduated in various fields in the energy sector. They are also making amendments to ensure the oil and gas companies hire the locals, just recently one of them had to send back the foreigners because we have locals here that are qualified for the roles.

Local content is not something new for foreign companies to negotiate

They know the best ways to serve their own needs while keeping within the lines

You have to be extra vigilant and have strong local agents on the LT
