Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Brathwaite, no run, Brathwaite is given out LBW and goes for the review straightaway! Was the impact outside off stump? Yes, good review. It's tossed up outside off, Brathwaite looks to sweep but the length is very fulll and it sneaks through to hit the front pad. Impact is outside off though, and Brathwaite went up quite confidently

Paint survives, you could see that struck him outside of the line of off stump.

Slow going, but this pitch is hard to score runs on....

The platform has been set. I would assume the plan is bat all day, and take the first innings score to 300+.

Nahid Rana to Keacy Carty, no run, did that carry? Seems like it just dropped short. But again, brilliant line and length from Nahid to go with his pace. Full ball just outside off, Carty's front foot goes nowhere as he pushes at it and the ball straightens to catch a thick edge. The pitch is so slow that it dies on the way to first slip. The fielder seems to be in pain after being hit on the leg

Nahid Rana to Keacy Carty, no run, beaten again! Fuller than a good length outside off, Carty looks to push into the off-side but his front foot goes nowhere. The ball nips away to beat the edge
38.3
Nahid Rana to Keacy Carty, no run, beauty! 141.9kph, good length ball angled in around off, Carty looks to defend from the crease but the ball nips away to beat the edge

Captain back in the hut...

Brathwaite caught fending off a lively lifting ball from the young quickie Nahid. Gone for 39, West Indies are 85/2

Nahid Rana to Brathwaite, out Caught by (sub)Zakir Hasan!! There's a fine delivery and it gets Brathwaite. But Brathwaite did not play that well at all, was short and on the fifth-stump line, Brathwaite did not drop the hands, was hopping and fending at it, it hits the shoulder of the bat and a simple catch to gully where the sub Zakir takes it. Nahid Rana sports a beaming smile. Brathwaite falls to a middling score

Nahid Rana to Kavem Hodge, no run, dropped by Taskin at fine-leg. A short of length delivery just outside off, Kavem Hodge tries an ambitious pull, a fat top-edge and Taskin at fine-leg runs in and settles under it, never looked like catching it, gets the end of the fingers and down it goes, was he put off by Litton Das running towards the ball? It looked like Litton was interested in the catch but for that Taskin had to bail out, he did not, a chance goes abegging

Nahid Rana to Kavem Hodge, out Caught by Litton Das!! What a stunner that is. 143kph, short of length and nips back in to the fourth-stump line, extra bounce too, Kavem Hodge looks to defend and he only gets a thick outside-edge and it's flying to Litton Das' right, his first movement is to his left, then he changes direction and dives to his right to go with an outstretched right hand, the ball sticks and as he rolls over, he uses the other hand to control the ball and prevent it from going down. It had to be just the one hand with the way the ball was travelling and Litton did superbly to hang on. The third ump has a look to check if it's a clean catch and it is. Fantastic over that and that drop by Taskin does not cost Bangladesh much. Nahid Rana is pumped as he punches the air.

Carty is a wicket waiting to happen .. very soon

If Windies don’t get a lead of any significance they are going to lose this.

Taskin Ahmed to Athanaze, out Bowled!! Taskin Ahmed gets Athanaze. Athanaze looks at the toe-end of this bat as he walks off. Full and angled back in on off, Athanaze gets forward to drive and the ball hits the toe-end and goes back on to off-stump.

The batting coaches (Jimmy Adams and his team) need to get with Athanaze - he needs to get bat and pad tighter and his shot selection has not been the very best (even when he scored that 90-odd, he looked like he could give his wicket away at any moment).

I hope Greaves can come in and show these guys how to focus else it will be a challenge to get a 1st innings lead.
