SA selectors stock by him, he is repaying them,
They did the same for Amla and he became great, credit to them

Where's Khaga to come call it "quotancy" and not consistency?

In-form Bavuma basks in the sound of silence

Temba Bavuma is enjoying the silence. You might think his world would be filled with roars of adulation for the century and three 50s he scored in his four innings against Sri Lanka - ratcheting his average for the series to 81.75 - for captaining South Africa to a 2-0 win, and for taking them to the top of the WTC standings and to within one more win of qualifying for the final at Lord's in June.

There is indeed adulation. But in South Africa, with its many social fractures and fissures, there is also silence; a pause in hostilities until Bavuma doesn't deliver quite so stellar a performance.

"It only takes one or two games for things to change," Bavuma told a press conference at St George's Park on Monday after his team had beaten the Lankans by 109 runs before lunch on the fifth day of the second Test.

Mike Haysman’s on Temba’s performance silence at the end of the match was deafening. It was hilarious when he was named player of the series. Give thanks for Pommie.
