Just 32 years old...has wealth of about 100 test matches... woefully out of form.... tremendous captaincy pressure.... relief him of captaincy burder..play regional... comeback as player...has another 5 years...

CWI should not keep repeating it's past mistakes...most recent, discarding Bravo...

I think that a change in leadership and essentially, a change of approach, is now a necessity. Brathwaite, for me, needs to remain around the team. His form is poor but will return. It is a real long shot but an Evin Lewis type opener would be a real statement of intent. It is worth trying, if only for a short term morale boost to hopefully sway the pendulum away from these slow poke fearful starts. Remember Philo Wallace and Clayton Lambert, smacking the English tourists all around the park years ago? It was a short term measure to change the dynamic and for a while, it worked. The English were crying, they could not deal with the pressure that those two hard hitters put their bowlers under. I remember them saying "that is not test cricket" oh how the times have changed with their bastardizedbazball lol

The most important thing is to get the strike rotated early and often. That is the short, medium and long term deficiency that needs addressing immediately. No need to go out there all guns blazing like Wallace & Lambert but players like Carty are showing good signs in that regard. He has a lot of work to do but the intent and approach seems right. Louis hits a hard ball, I just hope that he can be worked with to secure a few aspects and going forward, he can be somebody to work with long term. Brathwaite may well be around for a few more years but he needs to play as a batsman, nothing more.

Showme when Bravo was discarded.

Last I remember, he left the game.

He was rightfully not selected for an ODI series, and invited to a test series.

I believe CWI management sucks, but sop accusing them wrongfully.

You lost any credibility you had.

Top run-scorer in the Super50, overlooked due to selectors wanting to look at younger players for the 2027 CWC, selectors then pick Kjorn Ottley who is 1 year younger than Bravo.

Don’t forget Bravo’s attitude, is very distracting and destructive , to team chemistry.

So much double standard in WI cricket. As soon as a Yardie fails in one test match, you and your country men and others are bawling relentlessly for him to be replaced, while others are allowed to continue to fail and you still calling for them to continue. I understand that Paint is this era of WI mediocrity is one of our better batsmen but he has to demonstrate to us that he still has the goods, despite the fact that there might be no replacement player. Thats the dilemma of WI cricket, failing players without any adequately prepared replacements. We are in a world of trouble!!

McKenzie probably at home in Jamaica... they came back from India long now.

Last week he and some other players from the region were at a spin camp held by CWI. The same coaches from India visited along with Adil Rashid brother.

Great to know that he is still in training. I cannot understand why there are not more cricket training camps around the region, with development of young talented players forming touring A,B, C teams. As there are inadequate number of players around the region capable of replacing current team players despite their poor performances.

Tante, I sure that you are familiar with the term "constructive dismissal" Bravo was constructively discarded. If you tell the best batsman over the only two regional formats that you dont want him, what else is he but fired??? As for those who talk about team chemistry. If you recall 2023 season, Bravo was actually a pretty good captain to TT. I say especially how he used Cariah in the Super50 was peerless in WI captaincy in recent decades.

To be clear. I’m speaking as a player.

He has a lot to offer WI cricket should he so choose in terms of his experience and professionalism

Same thing with Jason Mohammed for Trinidad & Tobago cricket.

Show a single post.....where I have asked a certain Yardie be dropped.....I have posted on several occasions....that Blackwood, a natural stroke player...was totally destroyed by Monty Desai....he lost his natural play.... Blackwood won two matches against England....one at home and one away.... The famous chase in 2016.....

What value does kraigg Brathwaite provide to any West Indies team?

The problem with almost all players, they failed to re innovate themselves.... Except Holder... very intelligent..now upgrading his T-20 skills under Bravo in Dubai....
It's my opinion that Brathwaite can go back to regional and re- invent as player....can form a backbone of future West Indies batting...

Bravo
Brathwaite
Bonner

Newbies...
Athanaze
Louis
Hodge
McKenzie
Wickham
Jewel
Carty
Anderson
Tage
Imlach
many more...

Silva can be good middle order batter....just solve technique...

Appoint batting coach ....Hooper or Lara....also give them the charge as Head Coach of Academy team.
