Is Andrew thinking outside the box?

I am disappointed that such a young guy could be so steeped in old-time politics!

Nothing new or innovative is coming from his cabinet!

Health - not much beyond a few community clinic sponsorships by a few companies

Security - nothing beyond a few cameras and an uptick in skilled personnel

Housing - still doing the cameras on Manley's legacy

Education - still tinkering with the same old approach.

Agriculture - stuck in time

Technology - the less said, the better

Political tension ignited at Manchester North West housing ceremony

There were some tense moments between Member of Parliament for Manchester North Western Mikael Phillips and Jamaica Labour Party caretaker for the constituency Damion Young in Green Mount, Mile Gully on Saturday.

The two were at the handing-over ceremony for a social housing unit by Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness, under the government's Social Housing Programme.

Mr Phillips first took issue with the number of persons who turned out clad in green for an event that was not intended to have been political in nature.

During the ribbon cutting to officially hand over the two-bedroom unit to the beneficiary, the JLP caretaker joined in the activity which did not go down well with MP Phillips.

Mr Young eventually relented to allow the ribbon cutting exercise to proceed.

Well I am a laborite who grew up thinking the worst of Manley. I wish Ewart was still alive for me to apologize to him. My research in the last 3 years has truly lead me come to understand what this man was trying to achieve. The work he did to protect the workers of this country is second to none.
