The lost by the Barbados team loaded with current West Indies team members and others very close to the WI team, have left fans in the region scratching their collective heads, in trying to determine what’s going wrong with WI regional cricket.

With so many Barbadian cricketers in the West Indies team, it begs several questions, including: Are we thoroughly exhausting our search for suitable players around the region?
Is it a case that Bajan players are more easily accessible , more cost-effective due to location and availability to play for WI?
Is the WI Captain using his influence and pick to select homies instead of reaching out to the entire region?
Are selectors despite their island of origin, are more bias towards Bajan players?
Maybe Bajans are just the best players that we have region but we are forced to select a team from less talented and less committed players??
Maybe T&T is just better team and they should have most picks on the WI team, instead of Bajans??
When will Jamaica becomes serious about cricket as a sport in the region and return to the days when they turned out cricketers like: Michael Holding; Lawrence Rowe; Jefferey Dujon; Patrick Patterson; Chris Gayle and even World Cup MVP Marlon Samuels, among the many others ??
Instead of blaming Bajans, should each island or regional board should take up the responsibility of coaching and development their own players with focus from grassroots and school cricketers to national selection???

More questions than answers!!

Maybe we just need more international tours for our West Indies A and B teams, unprecedented but even our regional teams should be touring, only way to develop the standard of cricket throughout the region. Playing against each other once per year is certainly not helping us in development, meanwhile, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh may have already surpassed us.

You should look at players from the U15-U19 levels, you will see why Barbados players are selected.
To my Trinies, how many players on the T&T squad play for QOCC?

It amazes me how the best team (most consistent over recent times)
do not get many players in Windies selection.

Now we have Inlach (sure pick)
Mottie (behind Warrican)

Is it time for Anderson?

On Trini team.

I will opine that over the last 20 years,
they have been the most consistent all-format team.
Still the issue of selection persists.

Time for a new cappo for sure.
Trini team looked professional and composed during the Bim game.

Who is pressing the selectors' ears.
Bim:
Holder
Cucaracha (time has gone and should be mentor)
Chase (needs two more centuries and five wicket halls to press home.
Drakes (not ready yet)
Wickham (very poor year by his standards and my expectations).
Warrican is a shoe in.
Braffit needs dropping period....

Trinidad
Jangoo is shoe-in
Seales is shoe-in
Philips should replace Roach (may nor surpass the 2 Josephs and Seales in 11)
Dasilva is shoe-in but only as back up keeper.
Pierre pressing but unfortunately behind Warrican and Mootie, and (Bishop and Pierre)
James looks promising but should only be considered for A team at this time.
