INGLEWOOD, Calif. — For the second time in less than a year, Panama stunned the United States men's national team in tournament play.
But unlike last summer's loss to Los Canaleros in the first round of the U.S.-hosted Copa América, Thursday's loss in Concacaf Nations League semifinal guarantees that the Americans will not claim the title of a competition they'd won three straight times from 2021 to 2024.
"I am very, very disappointed, because I think the way that we approached the game and started the game wasn't in the right way," USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino said after the 1-0 loss on Cecilio Waterman's goal with one minute of second half stoppage time to go. "We need to find a way to compete better."

Trump will soon sign an executive order to remove DEI from all US sports teams.
The NFL will soon be confused with WWE as you won't be able to tell the difference in athletes.
Baseball will need to find some infielders, pitchers, and hitters as all Latinos will be deported. Shohei Ohtani's records will be expunged to be replaced by Mike Trout
Get ready for Auston Reeves as captain of US basketball. A statue of Christian Laettner will soon be erected to commemorate him being the reason the "Dream Team" won Olympic Gold.
Hockey and Golf remain the same. No change as there's no DEI in those sports

Can’t think of one offhand. PK used to play for Nashville. Unsure if he’s still playing.
throwing susbstantial money at a sport don't guarantee success in it
Someone needs to be taught the difference between an official and an unofficial response to a Political or National issue.

The 2000-01 Oilers roster was 25% black players at one point. Grant Fuhr ,Anson Carter, Mike Grier, Georges Laraque, Sean Brown and Joaquin Gage.
a top prospect named Cayden Lindstrom next draft (Medicine Hat Tigers)
Dirk Graham, the NHL's first-ever team captain and head coach of African descent, was born in Regina. (Chicago Blackhawks)
Willie O’Ree didn’t set out to be the first black player in the NHL.
He was just determined to play in the league – period.
When he stepped onto the ice at the storied Montreal Forum in a Boston Bruins uniform on Jan. 18, 1958, O’Ree’s family and friends were in attendance for the momentous occasion. The Hockey Night in Canada broadcast didn’t mention it, nor did the local media.
“It didn’t really register with me,” O’Ree said in an interview with the Original Hockey Hall of Fame. “I was just so excited to be playing in an NHL game.”
One particular player, Herb Carnegie, was a star in the Quebec Senior Hockey League, having been named league MVP in 1946, 1947 and 1949. While fellow Quebec league players like Jean Beliveau went on to wondrous NHL careers, Carnegie was stuck in the minors. The Kingston Frontenacs had two black players – O’Ree from New Brunswick and Stan Maxwell from Nova Scotia – which was unusual at the time. They had played together in the Quebec league and O’Ree was happy to be reunited with him.
