Peaceful journey into eternity, George.

Meanwhile, Ali took every opportunity to shoot straight punches to Foreman's face (which was soon visibly puffy). When the two fighters were locked in clinches, Ali consistently out-wrestled Foreman, using tactics such as leaning on Foreman to make Foreman support Ali's weight, and holding down Foreman's head by pushing on his neck. He constantly taunted Foreman in these clinches, telling him to throw more punches, and an enraged Foreman responded by doing just that.[citation needed]

After several rounds of this, Foreman began to tire. His face became increasingly damaged by hard, fast jabs and crosses by Ali. The effects were visible as Foreman was staggered by an Ali combination at the start of the fourth round, and again several times near the end of the fifth, after Foreman had seemed to dominate that round. Although Foreman kept throwing punches and coming forward, after the fifth round, he looked increasingly worn out. Ali continued to taunt him by saying, "They told me you could punch, George!" and "They told me you could punch as hard as Joe Louis." According to Foreman: "I thought he was just one more knockout victim until, about the seventh round, I hit him hard to the jaw and he held me and whispered in my ear: 'That all you got, George?' I realized that this ain't what I thought it was."

From Rumble in the Jungle to a Peaceful Walk in Paradise, Muhammad Ali will be at the Pearly Gates to welcome you home. RIP

I can still remember a crowd trying to watch the '74 rumble through a window in my district smile

A guy that took marks as well as made them.

Would have thought he was older, for the time he's been around. May he R.I.E.P.

That’s true. Ali was the first dude to make serious money( by today’s standards) from boxing. But Ali’s entourage was big and that forced him to fight way beyond his prime. Foreman never had those issues.

Even when Alineas banned and had to do college circuit speeches he wasn’t really broke because he had investments. I like how he tells that Smokin’ Joe couldn’t read his purse figure because of the number of zeros.
Anyway this is a George Foreman post.
My fav fighters his 2nd coming where he used Ali-like patience tactics to put away Michael Moorer and regain the title

I spent over 6 hours with Ali in 1972 and learned so much from him in that short time.
His mouth was a marketing tool, he could work a room.
The Jews, Muslims and every draft dodger were behind him.
One thing he said to me was, "My son must be able to speak six different languages".

The Calgary Tower management has some photos of us, I have tried getting some of them without any success.

Enough said

Ha, Ha
I have been hairless for more than 30 years.
My older son said to me one day, dad you are looking like a grandpa, I said to him, you are too young to be having children, I cut my moustache, all my hair and dye my eyebrows.
I quickly learned dye is not good, so I stopped.
I have been bald for a long time, and I love it.
