Clive played regional and county cricket when he was appointed. Also played on the test team intermittently.

I’m incline to support Shai Hope for WI Test captain .He has the experience and temperment .
Yes, he has a poor test average but that will improve for he is now a mature cricketer .

Hoss….his excellent batting skills in any kind of red ball cricket are nonexistent. He averages under 30 after 38 tests. And looked just as bad against the decent TT attack. What will happen to him when he goes out to play start and cummins

Rubbish. Carl Hooper ever got his average above 40?And allyuh was the same type who was saying he needed leadership to flourish. Whereas Chanderpaul, who was averaging under 40 until the middle of 2002 got his average from there to over 50 by the time he hanged up his boots in 2015

Clive was the top scorer for the 1973 visit to England and played the entirety of their visit here in 1974. And he was appointed before the next series, which was in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He wasn’t dropped or injured and was a mainstay

CWI needs to make a [proper decision because unlike when they removed gayle, who was getting results in the role, in a fit of nationalistic idiocy, there are efforts afoot to have WI removed from top tier cricket and this WTC, from 2025-2027 will probably be the most important test season in WI cricket history..............i know barbados feel they could go it alone and succeed, but as the two day beatdown at home showed, nah. Disagree. Don't equate a classy Hope with Scammy. How Scammy became the Trump of West Indies cricket is a mystery. A mediocre player who Gayle stated unbalanced the team cannot Make West Indies Cricket Great Again. Not going to happen. Scammy well intentioned or not is ordinary as player and unqualified coach.

Most times I comment here, it is straight from my head. Lloyd had gone through a mean test patch and was dropped. When time came to replace Kanhai, 3 names came up. Lloyd was one of them, and he had to be drafted back into the team as captain.
