BULLER WOMEN IN THE TEAM?
Some of the girls were teenagers- were they placed with adult women who prefer other women as partners?
It is a fact, let us not be politically correct, many women cricketers are gay and many look like men. Why did our governing body be so dotish and so uncaring as to allegedly, place a young player in the same hotel room with a "big older butch?"
Are these claims/allegations true? CWI must share the report of any investigation with the public.

CALLIN IT AS IT IS- CWI MUST BE TRANSPARENT ALLEGED BULLERWOMEN
In reply to Emir
Players need their own rooms - enough of this madness.
How hard is that?

I didn't want to comment on this story, but the more info I get from back home, I am realizing some of these young players were thrown in the lion's den and left to fend for themselves.
CWI had to be totally uncaring, to even have the common sense to know?
They wouldn't put a young female support team member, like a therapist for example in the men team to room-mate with a male player or male support member, so why did they do it for the women's team?
In reply to Chrissy
cwi will say they can't afford that...just like if they're asked why the test team didn't arrive in england earlier, im sure they'd say they couldn't afford that

I thought ICC had stipulated that condition after Marlon Samuels's incident with the bookie ?
ICC is responsible for the bills for a tournament, just like FIFA, that is why they tell teams how many players to take.
should trust the CWI, after only learning about the incident from a third party 4 years after, much of 2020 senior management is still in place and I strongly suspect the perpetrator is still on the team?
Many national teams, regardless of sport and gender, have their players share rooms when on national team duty.
The Argentinian team that won the World Cup in 2022 shared rooms. The only exception was Messi.
Sharing rooms on national team duty, is NOT uncommon

I suspect teams do that to facilitate extra support staff .

A number of reasons. Reducing cost is one yes. But a big one is also encouraging bonding, mentoring (rookie with senior player example), and camaraderie.
Names etc should not be made public unless it becomes a court case. But it must be fully addressed internally
I thought I read in the new player's agreement that each female player will no longer be sharing a room.
In reply to dayne
Think they do now and perhaps for some time too.
In reply to dayne
A player does not have to be in the same room to be harassed!
lots of exposure in dressing rooms.

Equally, people who have the same sex attraction are not 24/7 on the hunt! Jeez this is Stone Age thinking
In reply to Halliwell
Did I imply that? my point is CWI should make a firm statement on the issue because there are multiple situations where predators will be encountered, and this goes for women on women, men on men and men on women, hope my position is a bit clearer.
In reply to camos
No
I was adding to the discussion, not directed at you in any way… apologies for being unclear

To the extent teams do it, there are stringent rules, regulations, protocols, check ins and "like placements as roommates." So for example two players of the same stature, size and same sexual orientation maybe placed together so as not to give one an advantage- be it experience, size, seniority etc, over the other
In CWI case, the allegation is they placed a young inexperienced player with an older and bigger butch looking player- if this allegation is true, then something is rotten.
In reply to Emir
Well it have a few butch looking players on that team eh lol. Could be one of several suspects

Don’t know the details of this issue. My point was just that players sharing rooms is not uncommon in any sport.
Hopefully the issue is handled promptly, professionally, and whatever actions taken are done with a mind to preventing a similar occurrence in the future.

Sad that they weren’t proactive in developing and spelling out a policy of zero-tolerance for harassment. Gayle’s comment to the female journalist should have prompted action years ago. Doing nothing or post-mortem, never pre-planning; that’s CWI.
In reply to Brerzerk
Usually post-mortem, after the general publics out cry.
In reply to Emir
these incidents are ever present if not properly policed in sports. I know of a male coach making advances to young men.
In reply to imusic
Many not all.
