THE Tobago People’s Party (TPP) yesterday unseated People’s National Movement (PNM) incumbents Ayanna Webster-Roy and Shamfa Cudjoe-Lewis to capture both Tobago East and West seats, respectively, in the 2025 general election.
The TPP’s candidate for Tobago East David Thomas received 4,473 votes, beating Webster-Roy, who got 2,858 votes.
Meanwhile, Cudjoe-Lewis received 4,935 votes in Tobago West with TPP’s candidate Joel Sampson winning by 16 votes with 4,951.
The figures were provided by the PNM from its Scarborough headquarters last evening.
Five candidates contested the Tobago East seat, including Watson Duke, the political leader for the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP), who amassed 413 votes.
