All the neo-liberal sell outs across the region.
Cricket is an element of the superstructure and the politicians, business leaders, foreign bosses, sports institutions jumped up, waved and sold out every notion of self worth or respect, integrity, decency in their quest for bling.

I give thanks that I am old.

Lovely post, but totally misguided in my view.

No one blames the men who were actually out there and embarrassed themselves. No one is going to remember who the coach or Board President was. They will remember the 11 players who collectively could only score 27 runs. These are all big men on the WI senior team, not little babies that everyone else must take responsibility for. Sammy tried a thing. It backfired spectacularly. When Haynes decided that Bravo was too old and he was investing in Athanaze and Carty. That was also trying a thing. That also backfired as neither can even make a team that can only score 27. The thing is that with WI cricket in the doldrums for almost 30 years and the batting being especially terrible for the past 10 or so years, everyone is bound to make a "Hail Mary" gesture (as the Americans would say). Until the talent issue is solved so that there are actually men who could go out and bat well enough to average at least 35 in test cricket, then we will occasionally encounter these 27 scores, which in any event is not far removed from our usually sub 200 totals. India scored 36 in an innings against Australia in Australia and then bounced back to beat Australia. Scarcely anyone talks about that 36 because it was an aberration. That is the difficulty with West Indies. We are incapable of bouncing back as we simply lack batsmen who can ever make runs. No one has realised that nobody on this team can make 2 consecutive scores of even over 30? Check the stats when last a West Indian did that. Is that the Board's fault? Or Sammy's fault as a coach appointed in April? or even Reifer's fault if that is all he has to work with?? Perhaps our players should really stick with T20 franchise cricket and make a bunch of money where and when they can and forget this big men game called Test Cricket. It eh fuh dem.

All committee recommended structural changes... with professional holding all post.....
The recommendation is similar to the work done by New Zealand Board in late 90's......the results are there for everybody to see.....
Implement the various structure change recommendations.....

According to CWI officials, the governments throughout the region are to blame because they don't invest enough money in cricket.

And that's why we saying "President resign" you keep giving our coaches basket to carry water. What are your plans for youth development Mr. President?

Execs - they are all clueless; they know nothing about talent, cricket, business management; they are all holding a post to fill their pockets and have privilege exec access perks; they are sacrificing the region’s pride and passion for self preservation. SOLUTION: disband WICB and Windies cricket; Individual countries take over their own cricket destiny

The fields & pitches which he ignored
