Shallow just lost all creditability

Did shallow really say on mason and guest that the critism of sammy was only because he came from st lucia a small island.

Shallow never had any credibility outside of the old boys network of the CWI. I have been saying since I joined this site many moons ago that WICBC, WIBC and now CWI is a private club of grifters. A PRIVATE CLUB. We the fans have supported with our heart and soul but with no voice. The CWI is indifferent. They used the people of the Caribbean to enrich themselves and to parade around like if they are important. They treat players like crap and we criticize the players when they react. But none of us would work for these types of employers. The team loses, we fire the players. Never the coach or Executive. But nothing will change until the change is forced. The entire governing structure must be changed. The public has the power. Stop going to CWI matches and stop buying or supporting the products and services of every sponsor. This would be a start to disbanding this private club named CWI.

Well, if he said what is reported he said, he should explain or apologize for saying that. However, like I have said before many of the people who have risen to high positions in the CWI have been socially unsophisticated and insensitive at times.

The worst score in our history…the second worst score in test cricket history.
Sammy is not a certified coach, insularity gave him the position. I don’t care if he comes from Guyana, big island or small island - Sammy must go and take these shallow men wid him.

that's not surprising at all. windward islands fans and administrators are very insecure about the total lack of cricketing productivity from their region. remember it had a time they was trying to push delorn johnson as the second coming?

Furthermore, the CWI seems to think the reason West Indies cricket is bad is because Caribbean governments aren't giving them enough money.

When Shallow can actually say that Sammy and Clive Lloyd are cricket equals, it totally shows his ignorance of WI cricket. Please Dr Shallow remind me of Sammy's contribution to the two world cups he won. Clive Lloyd teams won two world cups but we're also the number one test playing nation. Sammy is being criticized because you posted certain qualifications for WI head coach then gave Sammy the job when he did not meet the qualifications. Your lack of knowledge of cricket was totally expose today on Mason & Guest, and then to hide behind your dumb insular statements. You need to resign immediately and apologize to the WI cricket fans.

ST JOHN’S, Antigua — Cricket West Indies (CWI) president Dr Kishore Shallow is fully supporting West Indies Head Coach Daren Sammy amid the calls for his removal by former players after the Test series against Australia ended in embarrassing fashion for the home side on Monday, with them being bundled out for 27 runs in the second innings at Sabina Park, losing by a mammoth 176 runs and recording the second-lowest score in the history of Test cricket.

Speaking on the Mason and Guest Show on the Voice of Barbados 92.9 FM on Tuesday night, Dr Shallow chastised Sammy’s critics.

He said, “Daren Sammy The head coach of the West needs a team; he is being criticised unfairly because he’s St Lucian, and we need to call out people when they’re being unfair.”

Meanwhile, Shallow has requested an immediate review of the just-concluded Test series against Australia, which the West Indies lost 3-0.

He is on the opposition party. Am hearing from reliable sources that there is no primary school cricket or first division cricket being played in SVG at the moment. The poor standards in the Windwards mirrors what is taking place in the region as a whole. Don't look for any progress in the near future we are doomed...
