I was waiting to board a flight at Cincinatti Airport (Covington, Kentucky) when someone got off the incoming flight and excitedly announced that Muhammad Ali was about to disembark. Everyone in the gate area got excited in anticipation, and there he came, with his wife in escort. Our eyes met and the surprise of my life unfolded when the one and only Muhammad Ali winked at yours truly. I swear that it was not my imagination. My first thought was to get his autograph but changed my mind when I noticed how labored his walking was, and his hands appear to be shaking. However, as soon as he passed by me, he was mobbed by other autograph seekers. Even with his hands trembling, he continued 'signing' whatever paper he was handed. This went on until his wife decided that he had done enough and politely led him away.
That is one of my greatest memories.

Thanks for sharing this. Just listening to him, gives hope and strength when all else seems to be going downhill.

Hugs right back to you.
I do still do visit here briefly but not to the extent as in the past. These days I spend most of my life from home to the dialysis center, at times I have to go 4 days per week. I no longer have the same zeal as before about the issues of the day and i have mostly stopped blogging at the many sites I had in the past. Just don't have it anymore to spar with the youngsters and the zealots.
Other than that I am good.
