Always thought she has not lived up to her potential. Love her aggression.

Townsend out…loses to Krejcikova
Probably the best thing that could have happened to her. She had eight match points and could not convert one… so many points that she did not put any effort at all in scrambling for. Sometimes you learn more from a defeat than a victory.

She needs to get in shape anybody comparing her body shape to serena must be blind .serena was pure muscle this girl is slightly overweight

She has been around for years now and seems not to improve, she probably does not want success bad enough

She will never match Coco for heart and fight. With all her shortcomings Coco finds a way to win. A true champion in my view.

History would not be kind to that statement.

Getting to the fourth round is not to be sneezed at. Townsend has done well, and she was up against a two-time Slam champion. And she nearly pulled it off! Well done, Taylor....

Her style of play is better suited to doubles, where she's currently number one. She's won doubles titles at Wimbledon last year, and the Australian this year. Doubles might not be as glamorous or lucrative as singles, but it still represents an admirable element of success.

Well, good comment, but she had her opportunities, she lost eight match points yesterday and eventually lost the match, that might be close to a record.
