You blaming Sheppy when the keeper and captain both knew they had 2 reviews left and still chose not to use one those reviews?

When you out, you walk

That’s how the game should be played

Integrity is doing the right and noble thing always

Some people defend standing your ground but cuss mankad.

Bollocks!

When you have the technology to correct bad decisions - use it!

If you chose not to - it's your fault and you live with your own stupidity.

They are wrong for not reviewing the scenario that was created out of Sheppy’s dishonesty IF AND ONLY IF HE WASNT SURE HE HIT IT. If you not sure, stay.

Dude. Stop it.

You have knowledge that Sheppy knew he got an edge?

The keeper who was standing up wasn't sure he heard a noise and the other fielders around the bat weren't sure because of the crowd noise.

The replays also showed that it was tiny edge.

The technology is there for a reason and fielding team were negligent for not using one of their 2 remaining reviews. They have to live with their stupidity - end of story.

That wry smile after . Oh Yeah Shep knew he hit it!! He didn't make them pay and they lost the game! However you are right JH should have called for the review considering how big that wicket was at that point of the game.

So you saw the wry smile and the dumbass keeper and dumbass captain and the dumbass fielders didn't?

Or they did, and still chose not to review?

They only have dem dumbass selves to blame.

I heard that loud and clear through the stump mic. That wry smile by Shep after the reprieve said it all! Big Thief!

The wry smile came after the time had run out to review. Did you even see the incident?

Now you're reduced to making shit up.

Again, go blame yuh dumbass keeper, fielders, and captain for not reviewing it.

And by the way, can you or Saint Halliwell point to an instance (or all of them even) where a batter has "walked" after a faint edge during this year's CPL, or even prior CPL tournaments?

The noise level at Providence ain't easy... can't blame anyone if they didn't hear a faint edge.

People who are sitting right next to you can't even hear what you're saying if you don't shout.

Maybe if they were playing in one of those empty stadium everybody would've heard de edge razz

On a single occasion, I knew I hit it and stood my ground, and it haunts me to this day. I’ve walked at least 5 times since. But that’s when I knew!

Dem men love to say that lickit cricket is modern cricket and it's big business.

And that the players them have their careers on the line and families to feed and that's why we have modern technology to ensure bad decisions are reviewed and corrected.

But now all of a sudden dem want those same players to abide by the spirit of Test cricket and walk when dem out and to hell with technology. lol

Okay, fair enough.

But by what standards of ethics and morality are you holding Sheppy to in this so-called modern version of cricket where it's all about money and the use of technology at every opportunity?

I’m being reasonable I believe

If he knew he hit it and didn’t walk, he tief and that’s now how the game is played. If he didn’t realise he hit it, or had any doubt at all, then haul VOR 27 skin! He should stand his ground.

You are correct. The competition rules/laws allow reviews, so open yuh ears and take the review!

On a public message board you are calling a player a big thief based on his so called wry smile?
Look many WI players smile and laugh for everything...dem drop catch, dem get bowled...dem misfield...dem bowl wide and no ball...dem lash 4 and 6....smile smile smile.
If ump didn t give Sheppy out and he smiled...it is most likely a smile of relief

So based on a smile you think you saw on tV, you come on a public message board and bawl to the world 'Romario Shepherd you big Thief!'

And look hearing a nick means nothing...could have been a 'ghost' nick...and could have come from anything including his gold chain

Do you have an issue with "Mankad"? Where the non-striker is deliberately attempting to steal a run by being out of the crease as the ball is released or even before it's released, and the bowler runs him/her out?

In Baseball, the equivalent of a Mankad is where the pitcher picks off a runner at first or second base if the runner creeps up or advances too far from the base. This mode of dismissal is quite common in baseball and there is no hint or suggestion that it's unethical of the pitcher to pick off a runner in this manner.

Only in cricket, is the form of legitimate run out dismissal (as per the law of the game) of a batter attempting an unfair advantage been demonized as "cheating" and/or "unethical".
