Truly perplexing. Played 3 matches in R4D early in the year and was not selected for the A team. Has he played any competitive cricket of late? Setting up the youth to fail.

Yes, Chanderpaul's selection is perplexing, even in the 3 f/c matches he played he looked scratchy, it is starting to look like Sammy needs help with team selection. I am surprised that Holder was not included also

dude we played against this same attack in australia, under lights, on a dodgy brisbane pitch where australia had only lost twice in 35 years until that point and scored well over 300 .....last year, the most they've conceded in a day night fixture................if yuh not going to make sense, at least confront someone who doesn't know the game

LOL since you’re so intelligent please pull the stats where WI teams before Sammy were able to pass 200 much less 300 and maybe then we can have an “intelligent” conversation!!!

Lmk give you the cliff notes version WI has sucked for about 3 decades you can’t just blame one man lol

west indies did not suck for 3 decades..........they drew with the GOAAT team in 1999, won the champions trophy in 2004, reached the final in 2006, won the wisden trophy for the first time in 11 years in 2009, won a test in SA for the first and so far only time in our history. is only sammy, holder and now sammy again have plummeted us into unprecedented mediocrity and failure

One can equate that with T20 WC men and Women, U19 WC, Bangladesh away, Pakistan away, The Gabba, beating Pakistan in ODI series etc.!!!

It doesn’t mean much when you lose everything in between!!!

err no. the west indies had better players than every team in the world cups. the only team that had a solution to the big hitter problem was sri lanka. we had a craftsman in samuels who nullified that threat in 2012 and sri lanka was toots in 2016. my grandmother who died the week of the final in 2016 could have skippered that team and won.

pakistan got whitewashed from bangladesh at home with a full strength team late last year so both teams are virtually even. the win wasn't totally unexpected. both are poor sides. pakistan are currently 93-5 against uae to prove my point
