Paul "Superfly" Williams of the 1970's Tivoli Gardens Major League Football, and Kingston Port-workers Business House Football fame, passed away Friday Night.

In his day he was a goalkeeper of the highest caliber thereby earning the moniker Superfly.

Walk good Super!

I knew these guys because community football allowed us to travel and play all over the city.

Back in the mid 70s when I took up residence in Kingston and working on the waterfront, the 'craze' was to follow Tivoli Gardens football and watch their goalkeeper "Superfly" earn his moniker. Things got better when he joined me as a co-worker. It wasn't long after that when Carl Brown also joined us.

Just a side item here...

His son Andrew is married to the daughter of Rev Run (of Run's House Realty TV, and of Run DMC fame).

[b]In reply to Chrissy[/ And in those days, you would see Respic in his all black goalkeeper outfit. And on Saturday you would see him in his all white outfit bowling for Boys Town.
Also how very romantic ? Wasn't Tivoli one of the sides when they were playing, you would choose to be in Grandstand ?

May Mr Williams RIP.
