What to expect:
Two pitches at the centre of the square have been prepared. One is the surface used for the two previous India-Pakistan matches, the other is fresh and could produce the kind of high-scoring affair seen in India's game against Sri Lanka. Toss has not been decisive in Dubai; in 10 matches so far, wins are evenly split 5-5 between teams batting first and chasing, including Friday's tied finish. The average first-innings total is 148.

Did you know?

- In T20Is since 2024, India have won 34 out of their 37 matches (including three in the Super Over)

- India and Pakistan have faced off in 12 finals across formats, with Pakistan leading 8-4, the last of which was their 180-run win at the Champions Trophy 2017 final.

- India's top seven have been hitting a boundary once every five balls, while Pakistan's have done that once in every eight balls.

India have won the toss and have opted to field

Salman Agha:
Definitely happy to bat first. We are very excited and looking forward to this game. We haven't played a perfect game and hopefully we play one today. Same side. We have been playing on these pitches for a while and it will play the same.

Suryakumar Yadav:
We are looking to bowl first. It looks like a good wicket. The wicket gets better under lights. We have been batting well first but we would like to chase today. The groundsmen have done a terrific job with the wickets here and it will stay the same. The brand of cricket we have been playing for the last 5-6 games is pretty good and we would like to continue that. Unfortunately Hardik misses out due to a niggle, Arshdeep and Harshit also miss out. Bumrah, Dube and Rinku come in.

Pitch report:
No surprises that India opted to bowl. They have chased 8 times against Pakistan and won all those games. Pitch looks like a featherbed. There is less grass and it looks flat. Only thing is it might get a little slower because of the lack of grass. It is the same pitch used for both India-Pakistan games and India have chased both times. 170 in a final is like 180-190 in a league game. May not be match-winning but you can certainly put pressure on the opposition. India have strengthened their batting. Hardik is a tough pill to swallow because it's difficult to balance the side. He is an allrounder and influences the combination - opine Simon Doull and Ravi Shastri.

STATS:
The chasing side has won nine of the last 10 T20Is between these two teams, the exception being the low-scoring T20 WC 2024 game in New York.
Pakistan lead India 8-4 in tournament finals across formats, 3-2 in the ones featuring five or more teams, the last of which was the CT 2017 final.
India have won each of the last 33 completed T20Is Shivam Dube has featured in, a sequence that started in December 2019.
