This kid is not failing because he's stepped up to senior level, not because of less scoring opportunities at that level. Not because  of lack of Mental Strength, nor because of where in the order he bats. No he's failing for one simple reason, he's being "uncoached" The idiots are leading the kid astray and he no longer has shot selection skills. Since becoming a senior his game has became either out right "Yam-licking" hoikes or tentative, timid "just jook-jook.

@Brerzerk

Then it must be the kid's fault as his passport is proper and WI cricket is endowed with coach extraordinaire sammy. Its the kid's fault.

Indeed his game has gone south.

Seems a talented kid, but I thought after looking he hits down the ground, something looked wrong with his technique,He gotthe result but the way he played the shot looked a bit off, His temperament looks alike Hety. Hopefully he can use these experiences to change his game for the better if he wants to succeed at the higher levels

The case with Andrew is that the Selectors should not have selected him for the WI T20 team this early in his career. He still have to figure out his shot selections

@dayne

Couldn’t agree more. He was rushed into the senior team without allowing him to develop and gain more experience at the FC level.
That’s how desperate Windies have become! Instead of nurturing these young talented players and help them mature into more seasoned players, Windies more often than not have opted to throw them in to the deep end to either sink or swim.

@StumpCam

He has a glaring deficiency against quality spin.

But he is very talented.

Frankly, I am surprised you can spell "insular".

EDIT - in hindsight, I shouldn't be surprised.

@Brerzerk

I have seen two innings that he batted; I agree with your summation.

I was expecting more of a polished player based on VOR comments, but he didn't show such.

Cowlick Corner was his preference and didn't survive.

Technically this was an A Team. He must be persisted with in all A team tours.
