I will ignore the Windward Island posse in this thread and share my thoughts on the state of West Indies cricket after seven decades as a fan.

T20 cricket has created another format. This format is for players whose focus is solely on it.
Youngsters who want to play T20 cricket should be allowed, and not be forced into playing the other formats.
Pooran and Hetty are two players who should not be asked to play red-ball or 50-over cricket.
Shai Hope and others should stay in the lane which they have been working on.
As I look at the team in Nepal, an A team should have been sent.
This team should have been selected from the format played earlier and the youngsters who played in the CPL.
Carty and others are confused; these guys are still finding a lane, and they are being asked to play Red ball and White ball cricket.
It will not work, most 21-year-old cricketers are still in a development stage.
